Dr. Zhu Yuancheng
“For 12 years, Coolingstyle (www.coolingstyle.com) has forged ahead with determination. Our new headquarters in Guangming District, Shenzhen, embodies the spirit of ‘integrity and brightness, moving toward the light, and striving for a brighter future.’ It also reflects our active response to Shenzhen’s ‘Industry Upstairs’ policy, which boosts land-use efficiency, unlocks development potential, and strengthens both industrial and supply chains. With the new site in operation, Coolingstyle will continue to embrace its core values of gratitude, humility, and diligence, aiming for even greater achievements. As more quality enterprises and resources gather here, the advantages of industrial clustering will soon ignite the headquarters economy.” — Dr. Zhu Yuancheng
Born in 1987 in Huangshan, Anhui, Zhu recalls, “The year I was born, Huizhou was renamed Huangshan City. Tang Xianzu once wrote, ‘In all my life’s dreams, I never reached Huizhou.’ The natural and cultural beauty of my hometown has always stayed with me, but the legendary Huizhou merchants — at home everywhere in the world — inspire me to move forward with courage.”

Dr. Zhu Yuancheng, Founder and CEO of Coolingstyle
Zhu began with a focus on learning, gaining admission to Tsinghua University to study automation. During his entrepreneurial journey, he was awarded a direct-entry PhD in Engineering Leadership Innovation from Tsinghua. Upon graduating in 2009 at just 22, he joined a central state-owned enterprise and, in early 2010, was sent to Shenzhen to help establish a joint venture. Driven by a powerful will to “create value for the company,” he held roles ranging from electronics engineer to operations director, mastering a range of technical and managerial skills that laid the foundation for his later ventures. In 2013, following his company’s restructuring, he launched his own business.
Reflecting on his entrepreneurial path, Zhu says, “My earlier work opened the door to entrepreneurship, but it wasn’t planned — it happened naturally. Being a PhD entrepreneur isn’t special; success still depends on hard work. Broad knowledge and networks can help, but overthinking can hinder success. Entrepreneurship is tough — more than a ‘nine lives’ challenge. There’s no way back, so you must persist. My advice:
l If you’re not ready, don’t start; even if you are, think twice.
l Don’t do it just for money — wealth needs virtue to sustain it. With ideals, wealth may follow.
l Tech entrepreneurs must value sales, management, and finance alongside technology.”

A Kinghelm Exclusive with Dr. Zhu Yuancheng
Zhu’s WeChat name, “Tianyi” (Heaven’s Will), reflects his philosophy: “It’s a mindset — act in line with circumstances, do your best, and let the results be. Work with joy, create value, but don’t cling too tightly to outcomes. Think: ‘Success may not be mine, but I will be part of success.’”
He adds, “In running Coolingstyle, I enjoy discussing technology and management with friends. There are always people better than you. My fellow Tsinghua alumnus and friend, Mr. Song Shiqiang, manages two well-known companies — Kinghelm (www.kinghelm.net) and Slkor (www.slkoric.com) — both achieving steady growth for years. Gratitude, humility, and contentment are vital, and these are Coolingstyle’s core values.”
