“Hard-working spirit + noble character = remarkable achievements.” This formula encapsulates the entrepreneurial philosophy of Mr. Wang Lei, founder and general manager of QCA TECH LIMITED. Guided by this belief, he has forged ahead with dedication since founding the company in 2014. “QCA Tech has completed its first decade,” Wang says. “With persistent effort, noble corporate values, and truly reliable products, we have sustained long-term growth. We thank all industry peers, customers old and new, and friends who have supported us. Now stepping into our second decade, we will rely on industry accumulation, the compounding effect of time, and autonomous learning to drive high-quality and steady development. This is the best reflection of our vision: ‘Create value, meet needs, give back to society.’”

Wang Lei, Founder & General Manager of QCA Tech

Born in Sichuan in the 1980s, Wang Lei was raised with principles of integrity and humility, living up to his name “Lei” — bright and upright. After graduating from university, he came to Shenzhen and has rooted himself here for 20 years. He recalls with gratitude: “I thank all the mentors and friends who disciplined, encouraged, and supported me. They guided my growth. Beyond industry knowledge, they taught me how to conduct myself, because doing business begins with being a good person. Lifelong benefit comes from virtue and manners. Over the years, I have learned to be tolerant toward others, remain aware of my shortcomings and stay self-driven, and always be righteous and loyal to friends.”

Wang Lei reflects on two decades in Shenzhen

With twenty years of dedication to the semiconductor industry, Wang has developed a powerful trio of abilities: self-learning, self-motivation, and self-discipline. He believes academic degrees are less important than the ability to learn continuously. Before traveling, he studies extensively; during trips he learns through experience; after returning, he deepens understanding with further reading — learning not once, but three times. On self-motivation, he emphasizes proactive learning and forward-looking leadership, focusing his work on introducing new agency lines and steering corporate development. On self-discipline, he references studies showing habits form in 60 days, explaining why he avoids distractions and addictions. Swimming (he once placed second in a university breaststroke competition), scuba diving (holding multiple professional certificates), rock climbing, and ice climbing are among his long-term pursuits, each bringing positive energy to his life.

“Those who have seen the world understand it better.” This belief helped Wang establish Shenzhen QCA Tech (ks-ic.com), an independent distributor and value-added service provider of electronic components. The company’s product lines include well-known international brands such as MAXIM, Microchip, ST, LATTICE, Xilinx, TI, ONSEMI, SLKOR, Kinghelm, MIC, Fairchild, and ADI, as well as discontinued and rare ICs. Products range from chips and crystals to MOSFETs, thyristors, resistors, potentiometers, and relays, widely used in communications, electronics, power equipment, aerospace, instrumentation, medical devices, and industrial control. With robust long-term inventory and close partnerships with global manufacturers and solution providers, plus a professional import-export hub in Hong Kong, QCA Tech is now strengthening cooperation with Kinghelm (www.kinghelm.net) and Slkor (www.slkoric.com) to jointly provide products and technical support to customers worldwide.

Prosperous future for QCA Tech

“Reputation outweighs ability. Good reputation is the life of a business.” QCA Tech has earned strong trust across the industry. When asked how to maintain long-term credibility, Wang emphasizes clear self-awareness — knowing who you are, your capabilities, what to pursue, and staying calm in success. He avoids boasting, believing temporary glory cannot sustain a long lifetime. Through travel and reflection, he realized the joy is in the pursuit, not merely the result. Just like in personal life, a company must honor contracts, uphold ethics and bottom lines, and practice long-termism through consistent, grounded effort. Time will prove everything, and customer trust is earned over years. As the company leader, he plans to complete five meaningful tasks every day — everything else is a bonus.

Work, travel, and philanthropy coexist harmoniously in Wang’s life. QCA Tech values talent with character, learning ability, initiative, and resilience, fostering collaboration and innovation. “Reading ten thousand books is not as good as traveling ten thousand miles.” Wang has traveled across six continents, seeking difficult-to-reach places and transformative experiences. For him, unknown challenges bring excitement and inspiration, turning every moment into growth.

Wang is also an active philanthropist, a member of the Shenzhen Ande Charity Group. QCA Tech has donated to Guangdong’s “Heart Relief” program supporting children with congenital heart disease and has long contributed to activities of the Sichuan-Chongqing Semiconductor Association. On December 28, 2024, he served as chief director of the association’s annual ceremony in Shenzhen, coordinating efforts while humbly noting that “99.99% of credit goes to others.” Kinghelm and Slkor also joined to promote the event globally across their four official websites, receiving widespread praise from entrepreneurs.

With craftsmanship and sincerity, Wang Lei continues to build a lasting enterprise. “Put yesterday’s glory behind, embrace the unknown ahead.” He believes opportunities arise every few years — capturing one or two is enough, as long as one is prepared. In an era where knowledge evolves rapidly, especially in the semiconductor field, continuous learning is essential to seize opportunities. From the unknown to the future, Wang persistently learns, anchors his career in semiconductors, practices philanthropy, and grows through travel — quietly completing the heroic journey of an ordinary person. At the 148th Huqiang Lecture Series, he summarized his philosophy into four ultimate keys to success in sales and life: persistence, long-termism, moral integrity, and understanding people.
