During the interview, we were fortunate to meet Mr. Chen’s son, Chen Qiyue, a striking young man in his twenties who has been studying abroad for six years and will return in two. Upon meeting Mr. Chen Haisheng for the first time, his simple attire, conversational tone, and calm yet joyful expression immediately impress. One cannot help but admire his grace: “A modest heart brings natural nobility.” Behind him, a full wall of books, publications, trophies, and certificates speaks to his principle that “inner tranquility surpasses all luxury.” His hearty laughter throughout the interview felt like a warm spring breeze, uplifting all present. When asked why he laughs so much, Mr. Chen said:

He lives simply, prioritizing family time, abstaining from smoking and drinking, loving books, and sharing insights in a 100+ member reading group quarterly. His company encourages employees to do one good deed daily, listen to traditional culture audios for 8 minutes, and participate in mentorship, public welfare, and social responsibility programs.

When asked who influenced him most, Mr. Chen said:
"I have four children—three daughters and one son, Chen Qiyue. Opportunities for them at the company are limited; I want to minimize family influence. The core of parenting is kindness. My son’s ambition—‘be happy and make others happy’—has deeply inspired me."

Recently returned to Shenzhen, Chen Qiyue, standing nearly 1.8m, politely bowed upon entering, reflecting his humble education. Mr. Chen proudly introduced him to visitors. Born in 2004, Qiyue studied abroad from middle school, navigating six years of challenges during the pandemic with resilience and gratitude.

Qiyue, now a sophomore at the University of California, majors in International Trade with a minor in Entrepreneurship, and explores subjects like International Relations and Business Management. He enjoys basketball, soccer, volleyball, and baseball, cherishes friendships across nationalities, and studies Chaozhou culture. He intends to graduate and return to China to contribute to society. Qiyue’s upbringing instilled thrift and humility, which he continues to practice abroad.

"Culture is powerful. Altruism is the greatest self-interest; I am its biggest beneficiary. Employees often say work is twice as demanding but twice as joyful.
